Listen the fuck up

We're Defend These Streets, and we're not here to be polite.

We’re here because all of our streets need defending—from the MAGA cult, from the lies they spew, and from the people who think cruelty is a valid political platform.

We're a small team that has a deep-seated love for this country and a genuine rage at seeing it get dragged backward by a bunch of loud-mouthed, truth-averse wannabe autocrats. We're the friends who tell you to stop scrolling, start fact-checking, and get your ass to the polls.

We don’t do "both sides." One side is trying to dismantle democracy, and the other is trying to save it. We picked our side, we own that shit, and we deliver the receipts. Think of us as an unfiltered, no-nonsense source for what's happening on the ground and in the halls of power. We’ll cut through as much of the bullshit as we can and get you the info you need, faster than you can say, "Is this another fake news story?"

We're not just posting angry memes, though. (Okay, we post a lot of angry memes, but that's not all.) We're all about empowering you to take action, whether it's through our posts or the resources we link to.

an informed democracy

is a strong democracy

and we're tired of watching a few bad actors try to break it.

Resources for the Revolution

We're a small team, not a massive media conglomerate. We don't pretend to be the only source of information you'll ever need, especially since we are sharing the information produced by others.

The most powerful tool against misinformation is a diverse set of sources and a healthy dose of critical thinking.

Below are some of our favorite organizations and news sources that are doing the hard, tedious, and essential work of keeping the facts straight. We are not affiliated with any of them. Just love ‘em.

The swag shop

You came for the truth, but you can leave with a sticker. Or a mug. Or whatever other thing we put our logos on. We believe in fighting for what's right, and that includes looking damn good while you're doing it.

A portion of every purchase goes directly to our local immigrant defense organization. We might talk a big game about defending these streets, but it is our immigrant neighbors who need a real-life defense team. Let's face it: it's the least we can fucking do.

So go ahead. Grab a shirt. Wear it to the grocery store. Wear it to your next family gathering.

Let everyone know exactly where you stand.
